It wasn’t until I began exploring the root causes behind hormonal imbalances and toxicity that I discovered how supporting the thyroid naturally can also reduce breast cancer risk.

October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month reminds us that prevention begins long before detection. For women navigating thyroid imbalances, this message is especially vital — because the thyroid and breast tissue share a deep hormonal connection. When the thyroid is underactive — particularly with low T3 levels — the body’s ability to clear estrogen slows down. This can lead to estrogen dominance, a condition that may contribute to breast tenderness, cysts, weight gain, mood swings, and, over time, higher breast cancer risk.
